Lock the device services

In case of Fuji Xerox authentication (EPA) (see Configuring Embedded Devices), to lock all ApeosPort multifunction device services the following configuration is required on the device’s web page:

This document includes examples taken from the ApeosPort-IV C3373 series. Differences with the ApeosPort-IV C3373 and ApeosPort-V C2275 series are indicated where applicable.

  1. Open a Web browser and enter the URL http://<MFP IP address> in the Address field.
  2. Select the Properties tab, and log in with your User ID and Password when prompted.
  3. From menu items go to Properties > Security > Remote Authentication Servers > Authentication System.
  4. Select Authentication Agent from the Authentication System list, and click Apply.
  5. From menu items go to Properties > Security > Authentication Configuration and go to the Next page.
    You must initialize the device by setting Login Type to Login to Remote Accounts.
  6. Under Access Control, in Service Access click Configure.
  7. Under Installed Services, click Lock All and click Apply.
    Scan to USB, Media Print - Text and Media Print - Photos services may require separately sold components.
  8. Return to the Authentication > Step 2 of 2 web page and click the Configure button next to Device / System Settings Access.
  9. Set the Device Access option to Locked and click Apply.
