Card reader configuration

Unified Client for Xerox supports Kofax and third-party card readers. For a list of supported readers, see the Unified Client for Xerox Technical Specification.

Connect the card reader to the Xerox device as shown in the card reader and device's documentation. Then, set the configuration to use the card reader as shown in this section.

Setting up a card reader for a Xerox device requires the following general steps:

1. Configure the card reader.

2. Configure the Xerox device so it can connect to the card reader.

3. Install the card reader on the device.

For Kofax USB Card Readers, you need to download the Kofax Reader Maintainer to use for installation and maintenance. The tool is available from Kofax Electronic Delivery under ControlSuite downloads.
