How to test the AutoStore client with the Lexmark MFP device

After you install the AutoStore client verify that the AutoStore icon is displayed on the device panel.

After installing and configuring the AutoStore client from the Lexmark MFP device page, the AutoStore icon is displayed on the device panel. Verify that the AutoStore icon is visible on the device panel in the following situations:
  • If only AutoStore is installed:
    1. Press the AutoStore icon at the device panel.
    2. One of the following occurs:
      • If authentication is not enabled, you are not prompted for login credentials. You can access your forms and scan your documents.
      • If authentication is enabled, enter your user name and password, and log in. You can access your public forms, forms that are assigned to you, and scan your documents.
  • If AutoStore and Equitrac are installed:
    1. At the device, log in using your Equitrac user name and password.
    2. Press the AutoStore icon.
    3. One of the following occurs:
      • If authentication is disabled, you can access forms that are assigned to you, and scan your documents.
      • If authentication is enabled and the Equitrac credentials match an existing AutoStore user, you can access your public forms, forms that are assigned to you, and scan your documents.
      • If authentication is enabled, the Equitrac credentials do not match, and you are prompted to log in, enter your AutoStore credentials. If the login is successful, you see your public forms, any forms that are assigned to you, and scan your documents. If the login is not successful, after an error message, you return to the Home screen menu.
