Configuring Embedded Devices

Each embedded device entry in Web System Manager must be associated with a physical device (MFP). Once the embedded application installed on the MFP communicates with the DCE specified during the installation, an embedded device entry is automatically created in Web System Manager; providing there is a physical device entry for the MFP, and there are licenses available.

There are two methods of registering HP OXP MFPs as devices in Web System Manager:

• Through automatic creation (the default method)
• By manual registration and configuration
