ApeosPort multifunction devices

Fujifilm ECSP requires secure communication between the device and the Equitrac DWS. To establish secure communication, complete the following on the device using its Web UI:
This document includes examples taken from the ApeosPort-IV C3373 series. Differences with the ApeosPort-IV C3373 and ApeosPort-V C2275 series are indicated where applicable.
  1. Put the device into sleep mode by pressing the device’s Sleep button or wait for the sleep timer.
  2. Launch a web browser and enter the device IP address.
  3. If the Privacy error window appears, click the Advanced link and then click the Proceed to <device’s IP address> link.
  4. If needed, enter the administrator User Name and Password (default is 11111/x-admin).
When an administrator logs in to the ApeosPort web menu, it is logged in the Equitrac authentication report for reference.
    • You must set the Chain-Link value of 700-686 to 1 on all Fujifilm ApeosPort devices to display the logged in user's full user name instead of the user ID on the device screen. If you are not sure how to perform this configuration, contact your Fujifilm representative.
    • There is a difference in authentication behavior between ApeosPort-IV and ApeosPort-V devices: you must set the Chain-Link value of 701-436 to 0 on all Fujifilm ApeosPort-V devices for proper authentication behavior. If you are not sure how to perform this configuration, contact your Fujifilm representative.
  5. The device’s web page appears. Click the System tab and go to Security > Certificate Settings. To check if a valid certificate is already established, click on the certificate to display Certificate Details. If not, click Create > Generate Self-Signed Certificate.
  6. Enter the details required for the Self-Signed Certificate. Increase Validity Period to the maximum allowed (for example, 365) and click Start.
In order for the certificate to work properly, you must disable verification of remote server certificate:
    1. On the printer's web page, click the System tab.
    2. Go to Security > SSL/TLS Settings. For Verify Remote Server Certificate, switch the toggle button to Disabled.
    3. Click Save.
  7. Configure the device’s web browser. Go to Apps > Web Browser Setup and set Web Application Version to V5. Click Save.
  8. Enable HTTPS on the device. Go to Network > Protocols > HTTP and set Port (HTTP/HTTPS) to Enable All. Verify that port number in Port Number (HTTPS) is 443. Click Save.
  9. Go to System > Security > SSL/TLS Settings and set Protocol Version to TLS 1.2 or Later. Verify that HTTP - SSL/TLS Communication Port Number is 443. Enable the LDAP - SSL/TLS Communication. Click Save.
On the ApeosPort-V devices, you must also set SSL/TLS Communication to Enabled.
  10. Set the Accounting properties.
    • Go to Permissions > Authentication and Accounting > Authentication/Accounting Type and click Remote. Click Save.
    • Go to Permissions > Authentication and Accounting > Remote Authentication Settings and click Authentication Agent. Click Save.

    • Go to Permissions > Accounting/Billing Device Settings. For proper processing of native device functions such as Native Copy, Native Scan, and Native Fax, ensure that all items in Jobs Tracked by Accounting/Billing Device are set to Enabled. This way the jobs receive a single token, which precisely identifies the appropriate transactions. As the user, billing code or department balance is charged during transaction processing, if these items are not enabled, transactions are identified based on user name and time stamp, which is not precise and can lead to fault transactions.

The Interrupt Mode item is not available for the ApeosPort-V C2275 series.
  11. Click Apply and click OK to restart the device’s web server.
  12. Click Reboot Machine and click OK to reboot.
