Configure Print-to-Me

Complete the following task to add your Canon device to Equitrac. See Add and configure embedded devices for details.

  1. Add the device to a workstation by installing its device driver. During installation, the driver asks you to select your device.

    The device appears in Windows under Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Devices and Printers.

  2. Print a test page.

    Equitrac automatically captures the print and adds registers the device.

  3. Log in to Equitrac Web Client and verify your device is added under Devices > Physical devices.
  4. Click on the device name in the Physical Devices list.

    The following screen appears: Edit Physical Device: {device name}.

  5. Under Settings, select Enabled in the Secure printing default list. Click Save.

    Newly added devices copy this value from Secure Printing Default under Security on the System Configuration > Global Configuration Settings > Printing > DRE/DRC and Print-to-Me screen.

  6. Go to Sources > Print Queues.
  7. Select your device in the Print Queues list and click its edit button on the right.

    The following screen appears: Print Queues: {device name}.

  8. Under Behavior, select Enabled in the Secure printing list. Click Save.
  9. Log in to the device, and release the job.
