Workflow overview

Scanning follows this basic workflow:

  1. Billing Code: In this step, you can assign your job to a particular billing code (the job is charged automatically if there is only one billing code assigned).
  2. Launcher: The options available for the Launcher depend upon your credentials and how your implementation is configured and licensed.
  3. Select Scan Options: This option displays different scan options assigned to workflow (based upon your credentials and how your implementation is configured).
  4. Collect Job Details: Job Details are a form of metadata associated with the Scan Job in question. This information determines specific attributes used in the routing and type of scan produced. Depending upon how each workflow is configured on the server, some Job Details are collected automatically based upon your login information. Information that is collected automatically may be changeable.
  5. Job Summary: After you have completed entering the Job Details, a summary screen appears displaying information you have entered. It is possible to go back and change settings you ha made, if required. You can also select the Scan Settings option to make Scan setting adjustments.
  6. Scan Settings: In this step, you can modify some of the default scan settings before you select the scan option.
  7. Scanning: In this step, you scan the document. Multiple documents can be scanned using the same Job Details, the document scan can be canceled, and Job Details can be changed per job.
  8. Finish the Scan Process: In this step, you can choose how to finish the scan process (Cancel, Scan or Done). Once you complete the Scan Job, it is forwarded to your selected workflow.
  9. Delivery: In this step, the scan is delivered to the destination detailed in the workflow.
