Job tracking

All print, scan, fax, and copy jobs are tracked by the Unified Client for Ricoh and can be reviewed with Output Manager reporting. Configure Output Manager to track print jobs.

Jobs must be completed through the Print-to-Me page to be tracked. If CAC is used for authentication, data is not collected for tracking.

  • Print jobs that are sent directly to the device are tracked to the unidentified user and are not charged in Output Manager.
  • Print jobs from the on-board device USB are tracked to the logged on user with total pages, color pages, and job type. Usage reports are available in the Device report in Output Manager.

Data collected in tracking

The following data is collected from different types of jobs.

Print jobs (Kofax—collected by the server on print release)
  • User
  • Department
  • Billing code
  • Number of pages
  • Color or black and white
  • Document name. If the device does not support SmartSDK version 3.0 or later, the document name for native print jobs might appear as Print Job.
Scan jobs (Kofax and native, scan to email, scan to fax, network scan, or scan to device storage)
