Configure a SharePoint create site activity

  1. Add an activity to the map.

By default, the Configuration tab is open in the properties panel of the activity.

  2. Change the default Name of the activity to something meaningful.
  3. On the Type list, select Microsoft > SharePoint create site.
  4. Configure the following properties.
    SharePoint site

The location for the new SharePoint site.

    New site properties
    Site name

The name of the new SharePoint site. The name can be a dynamic variable (process or server) or a static value.

The title for the SharePoint site. The title can be a dynamic variable (process or server) or a static value.

The description for the site. The description can be a dynamic variable (process or server) or a static value.

The template to define the look and feel of the new SharePoint site.

Note The default SharePoint templates and custom templates are available for selection.
    Parent site navigation

If selected, displays the navigation tabs for accessing parent site pages from the new site. If clear, only the new site page is displayed.

    Use site if already exists

If selected, uses the existing site if one with the same name already exists in the same location. If clear, creates a new site.

At runtime, the system completes the job created on this activity using the existing site.

Note If clear and you try to use a site with the same name, the job fails.

    Site ID

The variable that holds the ID of the newly created site. This site ID automatically retrieves the site identifier from SharePoint when the activity is completed. You can use the information from the variable to identify and select the site you need.

Note If TotalAgility finds insufficient privileges or incorrect parameter values, the activity is not created and the job is suspended. Error details appear in the event log.

  5. Click Save.
