Dashboard Designer
The Dashboard Designer is part of the Insight Studio application. Use the Dashboard Designer to create dashboard documents, known as Views, in Insight. Each View is saved within the Insight project. A dashboard may consist of multiple Views that contain analytics components such as charts (pie, line, stacked bar and such like), grids, a menu (for navigation), and action buttons.
A dashboard is displayed using the Insight Viewer application, which is a browser-based application running on IIS.
A report is a PDF version of a dashboard view. You can also schedule to email a dashboard as a PDF document to certain recipients. A report is part of the Insight project.
Access Dashboard Designer
In Studio, on the Guide, select Design Dashboards and click Add New View. When you assign a name to the new View, the Designer interface appears in the main pane.
Another option to access the Dashboard Designer is to navigate to , right-click, and select New View.
