Use the search panel

In the Search panel, each search box corresponds to a searchable dimension. You can enter a search string in any of the available search boxes. If multiple search boxes are used, only results that satisfy all the conditions are displayed by the accompanying components.

  1. In the search dimension pane, enter search conditions according to your business process. Text field search functions include:

    • Starts: Search for any values that start with the characters entered.

    • Ends: Search for any values that end with the characters entered.

    • =: Search for any values that have an exact match with the characters entered.

    • ≠: Search for any values that do not match the characters entered.

    • Includes: Search for any values that contain the given search string anywhere in the dimension.

    • Like: Search for any values that match a specified pattern

    • Numeric values or specific date: Valid mathematical symbols include =, ≠, <, ≤, >, and ≥.

    • Between: Search for a numeric value that falls within a range.

    • Calendar: Search for a specific date.

      Note The calendar opens in a month format. Click the month header to zoom out and display an entire year. Keep clicking on the header to zoom out to see longer spans of time.
  2. To return the charts/components to their original states, click No Filter.
  3. To clear all the search boxes, click Clear.
  4. Click Set.
