Regression metric

Use regression metrics for your regression analysis. Regression analysis is a statistical process for estimating the relationship between variables. It helps you to understand how the typical value of the dependent variable changes when one independent variable changes while the other independent variables are held fixed.

You can use regression analysis for prediction and forecasting and also for understanding which independent variables are related to the dependent variable, and then explore these correlations. You can apply a multi-linear regression to predict the outcome based on historic data and explore the correlation of data using regression coefficients. Insight uses the least squares method to calculate the regression model coefficients.

Regression coefficients represent the mean change in the response variable for one unit of change in the predictor variable while holding other predictors in the model constant.

You can also use "what-if" scenarios using parameter values.
