View or modify FTP downloader settings

  1. On the Tools menu, select the settings icon.

    The "Studio settings" window appears.

  2. Expand Configuration settings.

    The configuration settings window appears. The following subtopics describe the most commonly used settings.

FTP downloader service

  1. Complete configuration settings for the Downloader Service.
    • FTP Client Abort Timeout: This is a special, internal setting; you should not change it.

    • FTP Client Timeout String: The length of time allowed for the operation before it times out. Data transfers time out only after a period of inactivity, not after the time from the start of the transfer.

    • GPG Home: Full path to directory that contains keyring files.

    • GPG Path: Full path to the GnuPG tool.

    • GPG Timeout: The length of time until a response from the GnuPG tool occurs.

    • Maximum Parallel Connections: The maximum number of allowed parallel connections.

    • Write Buffer Length: Size of buffer for file operations.

FTP downloader settings

  1. In the FileNameCharForReplace, specify a character to use to replace illegal symbols in a file name.

    Invalid path characters include ASCII/Unicode characters 1 through 31, quotation marks ("), less than (<), greater than (>), pipe (|), backspace (\b), null (\0) and tab (\t).
