Insight geo data

Insight Map components geo data is based on the "shape" file format. Import this Geo Location data into your Insight project before using it.

The ESRI Shapefile or simply a shapefile, is a popular geo-spatial vector data format for geographic information systems (GIS) software. The standard was developed and regulated by ESRI as an open specification for data interoperability among ESRI and other software products. The benefit of a shapefile is that it is highly compressed and portable, enabling software applications to load large volumes of binary, geographic data.

Insight provides two shape file packages (ZIP files):

1. Kofax Insight-6.0.0.0_GeoData-WorldCountries.ZIP: Contains shapes for world countries, excluding the US states.

2. Kofax Insight-6.0.0.0_GeoData–WorldCountries-US.ZIP: Contains shapes for world countries and US states, cities, and ZIP codes.

These files are available from the Kofax Fulfillment Site where you downloaded the Kofax Insight product files. If you do not have access to the Kofax Fulfillment Site, please contact the Kofax support team.

Extract any of the files and follow the steps here to upload the data into your Insight project.

If you need other geo data that is not provided in the shape file packages, see Add custom shapefiles.
