The Insight Map Component supports the following layers:

• Base map layer: This layer is the background layer with base maps.

  Important The base map from the Open Street Map site requires an online connection.

• Shape layer: This layer is superimposed on top of the base map layer and displays the shapes of countries, states, counties, and ZIP codes. The data is taken from the Insight Geo Data in your project. You must have a metric with a dimension of a Country, State, County or ZIP codes to use it.

• Pin layer: This layer displays pins (points) on the base map. Each map component may have several pin layers. You must have a record or metric that contains a dimension mapped to a translation table with coordinates.
