You can correct black and white or grayscale images as they scan by having Kofax VRS assign the optimal brightness value for you. This setting is not available for color images.

If you select Auto Brightness and subsequently make manual adjustments to the Brightness & Contrast values, the Auto Brightness feature is turned off automatically.
