Export Properties Window
Use this window to select batch export timing options for batches when they are processed by the Export module.
All Immediate
Exports the batch
immediately
from the
Export
module.
Batches at the
Export
module are exported by priority level. Batches of the same priority level are exported on a first-in first-out basis.
Therefore,
immediately
means batches are ready for export when they arrive at the
Export
module, although they might have to wait for other batches to be exported.
Timed
Exports the batch at a particular time. This is intended to allow you to export batches at times other than peak working hours.
- Priority to start timed export
-
Select the beginning priority level to start timed exports. If the priority to start timed exports is set to 3, batches with priorities of 1 and 2 are exported immediately, whereas batches with priorities over 2 are not exported until the designated time window.
- Start time
-
Enter the start time for timed exports.
- AM / PM
-
Specifies A.M. or P.M. for the start time.
- Stop time
-
Enter the stop time for timed exports.
- AM / PM
-
Specifies A.M. or P.M. for the stop time.
Batch Export Order
Select this option to export the batch either by document order or by assigned export connector order.
- Export batch by document order
-
This causes all the documents to be processed in order. This is the default setting.
- Export batch by assigned export connector
-
This causes all the scripts to be processed in order.
Error Recovery
Kofax Capture offers two types of error recovery for batches.
If selected, all batch processing is terminated whenever there is an error and the entire batch is marked as un-exported.
If this setting is not selected, then fatal errors and non-fatal errors are handled differently. Fatal errors are handled the same as if this check box were selected. For non-fatal errors, the document causing the error is rejected and ignored for the rest of batch processing, and processing continues for the remaining documents in the batch.
File Names
If selected, Kofax Capture retains the original file name for image files and eDocuments. If this setting is not selected, Kofax Capture assigns a new name to the image file using sequential numbers.
In certain cases, it may not be possible to retain the original file name, even if this option is selected. If the export image file type is set to a Multipage TIFF format, all the images in the document are exported into a single file. Consequently, it is not possible to retain the original name. To ensure naming consistency for this export image file type, even documents with a single page are treated in this way.
If a single page TIFF file is used, the original file name is retained.
