Multiple Batch Properties Window

In some situations you may need to change the queue for multiple batches simultaneously. For example, an error may happen in an unattended module and later, when the problem is resolved, many batches may queue in the next module in the error state. Using this feature, you may send multiple batches back to the required queue simultaneously.

Use this window to edit the status and priority level assigned to more than one batch at a time. For example, you might want to change the priority level of all batches created on a certain date.

Note If a batch is In Progress, you cannot edit its properties.
Status:

Select a status from the list.

Note From Batch Manager, you can assign the following status types: Error, Ready, Reserved, or Suspended.
Priority:

Select a priority level for the batches. The priority level controls the order in which the batch is processed at each module of the queue. You can select any value from 1 to 10, with 1 being the highest priority and 10 being the lowest.

Note The default priority for a batch is defined in the batch class. If you enter a different priority, the value is used for the current batches only. The next batch you create based on the batch class uses the default priority.
Queue:

In some situations, you may need to change the queue for multiple batches simultaneously. For example, a processing exception in an unattended module may cause multiple batches to appear in the error state. After the exception is resolved, you can use this feature to route the affected batches back to the required queue all at once, to proceed with the processing workflow. The following rules apply:

  • If the current queue for the selected batches is the same, this queue is displayed as the default. Otherwise, the default value is empty.

  • If the selected batches have different queues configured in batch class properties, the combo box displays all available processes. The batch queue is not updated for a batch if the selected process is not configured in its batch class.

  • If the batches cannot be updated due to some reason, an error message appears.
