Sorting the List of Batches

You can sort the list of batches displayed on Batch Manager’s main screen. You might want to do this to make it easier to find a particular batch.

To sort the list of batches, on Batch Manager’s main screen, click any heading in the table of batches. For example, click Name to sort the batches in ascending order by batch name. Additional sorting is performed based on headings specified with the Sort window.

You can also control which fields are used to sort the list.

  1. On the View tab, in the Display group, click Sort.
    The Sort window appears.
  2. Select fields from the Available Fields box and click the Add button. The fields are added to the Sort Order box.
Note By default, the following fields are selected for Batch Manager: Queue, Priority, and Name. You can select different fields if you wish.
  3. Click OK.
Note Sorting the batches only sorts the list of batches displayed on Batch Manager’s main screen. It doesn’t change the priority of a batch or the order in which batches are processed.
