Deleting a Field Type
You are not allowed to delete a field type if it is already being used for an index field. If you attempt to do so, a message indicates that the field type is being used. To delete the field type, remove all index fields and batch fields associated with the field type. Then, you can delete the field type and republish your batch class.
- On the Field Types tree view tab, select the field type to delete.
- On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click the arrow next to Delete, and click Delete.
