Changing the Priority Level for a Batch

All batches have a priority level. The priority level can be any value from 1 to 10, with 1 being the highest priority. In unattended modules, batches with the same priority level are processed in the order they arrive. In attended modules, batches can be processed in any order.

The default priority for a batch class is assigned in the Administration module. However, you can change the priority level for a batch from the Scan module or the Batch Manager.

Note Changing the priority level for a batch does not alter the default priority for the batch class. The next batch you create with that batch class has the original, default priority level assigned to it.
  1. On the Home tab, in the Batch group, click Create.
  2. From the Create Batch window General tab, change the priority level for the batch.
  3. Enter or select the other settings for the batch and click Scan.
