Validating Documents and Batches

To validate an open batch, make sure the validation mode is set to Data Entry.

To validate a document, on the Home tab, in the Batch group, click Data Entry.

Note If the drop-down list is grayed, batch editing is not available. Batch editing for the Validation module is controlled by the batch class settings.

To validate a batch, do the following:

  1. Open the batch.
  2. In the corresponding index field, enter the data as it is shown on the image.
  3. Press the Tab key or click the Next Field button to move to the next field.
  4. Repeat for each index field in the document.
  5. When done, save the index data.
  6. Repeat for each document in the batch.
  7. When you are finished validating all the documents, close the batch.
