Custom Panels window

You can configure custom panels to be loaded per batch class in Kofax Capture modules. When you open the batch, and use the Validation module, the custom panel associated with this exact batch class is loaded and used. If your next batch to be processed is of a different batch class, the Validation module is loaded with another custom panel.

Available

The form contains a list of custom panels registered with standard modules, such as Scan, Quality Control, Validation, and Verification on the current station. Click Add or double-click the item to assign it to the batch class.

Assigned

Contains the list of selected custom panels. Use Remove if required to remove panels.

Properties

Click the button to manage behavior of the selected custom panel. You can select modules to which the behavior of custom panels will be applied per batch classes. The following rules apply:

  • If the custom panel is registered with several modules and only some of these modules are selected under Apply to, then the custom panel is loaded per batch class only for selected modules. For the remaining modules the custom panel is loaded regardless of the batch class if it is not assigned to any batch class.

  • All registered modules are selected by default. If the custom panel is not registered with the module, the check box for this module is inactive.

  • If you select no modules and click OK, the following message appears: No module selected. Custom panel will be unassigned from batch class. Do you want to continue? Click Yes to close the screen and remove the custom panel from the Assigned list. Click No to clear the window.

  • If the module is selected as Required and the custom panel is not registered (available) on a station, when you open a batch of the corresponding batch class, the following message appears: Cannot open batch. The custom panel associated with the batch class is not registered or available on the current system. To continue, please register the custom panel. The batch is suspended.

  • If you assign a custom panel to a batch class and then open the Administration module on another station where this custom panel is not registered, the Custom Panels window still shows the panel in the Assigned list. When you try to unassign the custom panel, the following message appears: You are unassigning a custom panel that is not registered on the current workstation. When unassigned, the panel will not display in the Available list. Do you want to continue? Click OK to apply the change without publishing the batch class.

  • To activate the configuration, click OK or Apply. The assignment applies without publishing the batch class.
