Source Devices

A source device is a name for a configured scanner or import device. The name is an alias for a pre-configured set of specifications that control the source for batches. For example, a scanner source device specifies a particular make and model of a scanner and all the configuration settings necessary to drive the scanner from your workstation.

Source devices are defined with the Scanner Configuration Utility.
