There may be unusual situations where you find it advantageous to bypass SecurityBoost for a specific Kofax Capture module. This may happen, for example, if you (as the administrator) need to use the Scan module to import files from a folder that is not accessible even to the SecurityBoost user.

In this case, you would run the Scan module with the /NoBoost option. This will not affect the use of SecurityBoost by other Kofax Capture applications, but the Scan module will run with your administrative login permissions, giving you access to the otherwise off-limits folder.

Once you have completed this task, close the Scan module, terminating your temporary bypass of SecurityBoost.
