A mismatch occurs when a value entered by the verification operator does not match the data previously entered manually by the validation operator, or automatically via bar codes or OCR processing. When a mismatch occurs, Kofax Capture alerts you by presenting the Mismatch in Field window, so you can resolve the discrepancy.

The title bar lists the name of the field for which Kofax Capture detects a mismatch, and the window lists the two conflicting values. You have the option of selecting the original value from the Validation module, accepting the value entered in the Verification module, or assigning a new value.

Original value

Lists the value entered for the field in the Validation module.

Entered value

Lists the value entered for the field in the Verification module.

Entered value

Lists the value entered for the field in the Verification module.

New value

Lists the new value (different from the Original value or Entered value) that you want to use for the field in question.
