Customizing Email Templates

Use the following procedure to configure a Kofax Capture batch class for use with Kofax Capture Import Connector - Email (Email Import Connector). This procedure assumes that you already created the batch class.

The first line is the subject in each email template file. The {0} and {1} variables must be maintained in the template. These variables are replaced with the actual information when the email is processed. For example, in the Failure Notification Template, {0} is replaced with the actual archive location.

Failure Notification Template (email_error.txt)

You can issue the following email to the sender each time an email is not successfully imported into Kofax Capture. See Kofax Capture Import Connector - Email - Configuration Window - Advanced Tab for information about this option.

Email Import Error

Your email did not complete processing. One or more attachments failed to import due to the error listed below. The original email has been saved to the following location. Please notify the system administrator.

Reported error: {1}

Mailbox Error Notification Template (mailbox_error.txt)

You can issue the following email to the administrator in the case of a mailbox error. See the Kofax Capture Import Connector - Email - Configuration Window - Advanced Tab for information about this option.

Mailbox Error!

An error that prevents Email Import Connector from processing emails in mailbox {0} has occurred. Please check the mailbox settings and fix the error. Email Import Connector will continue to process emails in the mailbox after the error is fixed.

System Error Notification Template (system_error.txt)

You can issue the following email to the administrator in the case of a mailbox error. See the Kofax Capture Import Connector - Email - Configuration Window - Advanced Tab for information about this option.

An error that prevents Email Import Connector from processing emails in all mailboxes has occurred. Please check your system and fix the error. Email Import Connector will continue to process emails in all mailboxes after the error is fixed.

  1. Open a text editor, such as Notepad.
  2. Navigate to <Kofax Capture installation folder>\ ACEI.
  3. Open one of the following templates:
    • email_error.txt

    • mailbox_error.txt

    • system_error.txt

  4. Make changes.
  5. Save the text file.
