Resolving a Mismatch

A mismatch occurs when a value entered by the verification operator does not match the data previously entered manually by the validation operator, or automatically via bar codes or OCR processing. When a mismatch occurs, Kofax Capture alerts you by presenting the Mismatch in Field window, so you can resolve the discrepancy. You have the option of selecting the original value from the Validation module, accepting the value entered in the Verification module, or assigning a new value.

  1. On the Mismatch in Field window, do one of the following:
    • Select Original value to change to the value entered by the operator during the verification operation.

    • Select Entered value to accept the value entered by the verification operator.

    • Select New value to assign a value that differs from the Original value or Entered value. Type the value in the text box.

  2. Click OK.
