Remote Synchronization Agent Window

The Remote Synchronization Agent window displays the last 50 entries from the client log. The log is named <Kofax Capture installation folder>\Logs\ACICYYMM.txt, where YY is the current year, and MM is the current month.

The entries include the status of all batches uploaded from the remote site, whether user tracking statistics were uploaded, whether new batch classes were downloaded, and whether batches were downloaded for processing at that site.

Use the window to either synchronize or download batches or batch classes on demand.

Last send attempt

Displays the date and time that a synchronization occurred, or that batches or batch classes were downloaded.

Status

Displays the current operation being performed. Operational messages include the following: Sending batches, Get file <file name>, Inserting, and more.

Status box

Displays the date, time, message number, message, and originating station ID for each event. The messages specify whether batches or batch classes are received successfully, user statistics are sent (uploaded), batches are sent (uploaded), and central site polling times are downloaded successfully.

Note If the station ID has changed, the change does take effect until you stop and restart the RSA.
Synchronize Now button

Synchronizes the remote site with the central site. This means that batches are uploaded and downloaded, that new or changed batch classes are downloaded, and that volume is synchronized.

After synchronization, at the remote site, the In Progress Status batches are checked to see if their status has changed. If the status of a batch has changed to In Progress(Inserted), the batch is deleted from the remote site. Otherwise, the status of the batch is updated.

This button is unavailable only if upload and download operations are both currently in progress.

Download Batch Classes button

Used only to download batch classes from the central site. Available only if a batch class download operation is not currently in progress.

Download Batches button

Transfers pending batches to the remote site. Available only if a batch download operation is not currently in progress.

Credentials button

Displays the Connect to Central Site window, where you enter and save remote site authentication information (user name and password) used during basic or Windows Integrated authentication.

Hide button

Dismisses the Status window without shutting down the RSA.
