Database Validation Properties Window - Database Tab

Use this tab to set the database or data source to be used for a database validation. You also provide database login information if required to connect to the database or data source.

Database type

This is a drop-down list box where you select the type of database to use for the validation.

Access (*.accdb, *.mdb) file name

This field is available if the database type is set to Microsoft Access. Fill in the path of the Access database file to use for the validation.

Browse button

Browse for a database file or a data source file.

Data source name

ODBC Level 3 compliant data source. Fill in the path of the data source file to use for the validation.

Workgroup file name

This field is available if the database type is set to Microsoft Access. Fill in the name of the Access database workgroup that you plan to use for the validation.

Browse for a workgroup file. This button opens a standard Windows browse window where you select a file instead of manually typing it into a field.

User name

This is the user name that you give for connecting to the assigned database or data source (if required).

Password

This is the password that you give for connecting to the assigned database or data source (if required).

SharePoint URL

This field is available if the database type is set to Microsoft SharePoint. Enter the URL used for connecting to SharePoint. After the URL has been entered, use the Browse button to select the subsite or list from the Site window.
