Attaching a Note to a Page or Document

You can add a note to a document or page to communicate with other operators processing the batch. When you reject a document or page, the Rejection Note window is automatically displayed. However, even if you don’t reject a document or page, you can attach a note to it.

Tip As an alternative to the method described in this topic, use the Notes panel to attach a page or document note.

To attach a note when rejecting a page or document, use the Rejection Note window.

When attaching a free-form note, press Ctrl+Enter to start a new line. You can use a combination of a predefined note and a free-form note.

  1. From the Batch contents tree view, select the page.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click Properties.
    The Page Properties window appears.
  3. On the Page Properties window, do one of the following:
    • Select a predefined note, or enter a note number. As soon as you select a predefined note, the window is automatically closed.

    • Enter a note in the Free-form text box. Enter up to 300 characters, and then click OK.
