When your scan application is set to scan duplex pages, use the Merge Sides setting to combine the front and back sides to produce a single image. This setting is intended for small pages.

For example, if you set Merge Sides and scan a business card (2 x 3.5 inches), a single image (instead of two separate images) is produced. The single image includes both the front and the back of the business card on the same side.
