Properties of a Capture Composite control

Configure the Composite control under the following tabs:

General

Property Description

Type

The type of the control.

Name

A unique name for the control.

State

The state of the control. Available options are: Optional, Mandatory and Hidden. (Default: Optional)

Enabled

Enables the control at runtime. (Default: Selected)

Security token

Makes the information in the form secure. See Security tokens.

Layout

The layout configured for the capture control.

Note This property is available even if no layout is defined for the control.

Lock layout

If selected, locks the layout to prevent customization at runtime. (Default: Clear)

Disable field navigation

If selected, disables field navigation at runtime. (Default: Clear)

Show complete and take next

Allows you to complete the current activity and take the next activity. (Default: Clear)

Note This additional property is available when you generate an Activity form for a Validation, Scan, Verification or Document review activity.

Show complete

Allows you to complete an activity. (Default: Selected)

Note This additional property is available when you generate an Activity form for a Scan, Validation, Verification or Document review activity. For upgrade forms, select this property, only when Show complete and take next option is clear.

Auto complete behaviour

This property is only available when Show complete and Show complete and take next options are selected.

Note This additional property is available when you generate an Activity form for a Validation, Verification or Document review activity. It is not available for Scan activity.

Enable document fields

Allows the document type fields to be visible at runtime. (Default: Selected)

Note This property is available for Document review and Scan activity forms.

Enable folder fields

Allows the folder type fields to be visible at runtime. (Default: Selected)

Note This property is available for Document review and Scan activity forms.

Rejection reasons

The rejection reasons that appear when you take a Scan, Validation or Verification activity.

Note This property is available for Scan, Validation, Verification, Create new job and Document review forms.

Preserve document type

Retains the document type, field values and properties as the original document when you take a split document activity. (Default: Clear)

Note This property is available for Scan, Validation, Create new job and Document review forms.

Document display text

The title of the Document tab that lists document fields at runtime.

Folder display text

The title of the Folder tab that lists folder fields at runtime.

Activity display text

The title of the Activity tab that lists the activities at runtime.

Note The Activity display text property is only available for Scan, Validation, Verification and Document review forms.

Process display text

The title of the Process tab that lists processes.

Note This property is only available for Scan create new job form.

Merge document confirmation prompt

Shows or hides the confirmation prompt from appearing while merging the documents at runtime. (Default: Show)

Split document confirmation prompt

Shows or hides the confirmation prompt from appearing while splitting the document at runtime. (Default: Show)

Note Merge document confirmation prompt and Split document confirmation prompt properties are only available for Scan create new job, Scan, Validation and Document review forms.

Variant settings

Document variant

The document variant. It can be a global variable, form variable or form field (string value), or a static value.

Note
  • The Document variant option is only available when you generate a Scan Create New Job or Scan form.
  • When a validation rule is applied, all hidden fields are considered valid.
  • If you configure multi-field validation rule and some of the required fields are hidden, the rule is still executed.
  • When you take an activity or create a new job using Scan, the variant is applied to the document at the point of creation.
  • In a variant, the required fields must be visible for the multi-field validation rule to execute.

Activity variant

An activity variant. It can be a global variable, form variable or form field (string value) or a static value.

Note
  • The Activity variant option is only available for Scan, Validation, Verification or Document Review activity forms.
  • When a validation rule is applied, all hidden fields are considered valid.
  • If some of the required fields are hidden in a multi-field validation rule, the rule is still executed

  • In a variant, the required fields must be visible for the multi-field validation rule to execute.
