Protected items search

You can search for the protected items and view the associations for these items to identify all instances an item is being used. You can also delete an item directly from TotalAgility.

The protected items are not available to view within the Designer; therefore, it is not possible to know if these items are in use within a process, form or business rule. For example, you may be prevented to delete an item that is in use within a process.

Search for the protected items

  1. Navigate to System > System settings > Utilities > Protected items search.

The Protected items search dialog box is displayed.

  2. To search for a protected item by name, enter the name of the item in the Item name field and click Search.

    The searched item appears.

  3. To search for a protected item by item type, on the Type list, select an item type, such as Form (default: All) and click Search.

Available item types are: Business rule, Classification group, Extraction group, Folder, Form, Form template and Process.

A list of all protected items based on the selected type appears.
Note The search is based on the highest versions of the item. For example, if version 1 of TestProcess is protected but version 2 of TestProcess is not protected, the search result does not return TestProcess.
  4. To view the associations of a protected item, on the context menu for the item, click Associations.
The Associations dialog box for the selected item displays the associations details.
Note Associations are not available for the extraction groups, classification groups, folders and form templates, but forms associated with these items are displayed.
  5. Click Cancel in the Associations dialog box.

The Protected items search dialog box is displayed.

To clear the search criteria, click Reset.

  6. To remove an item directly from the system, on the context menu for the protected item to delete, click Delete .
On confirmation, the item is deleted.
Note You can only delete a single item at a time. You cannot delete a protected item that is in use.
