Assign access permissions to different areas of TotalAgility

You can manage access permissions to grant privileges, and restrict resource access to different areas of TotalAgility.

The different areas include:

  • Settings

  • Process

  • Business rule

  • Work type

  • Resource

  • Persona

  • Capture design

  • Lock status search

  • Job clear down

There are three types of access permissions:

  • Full control: Enables the resource to create and modify content. For example, a resource with full control of process maps can create and modify all process maps and can set and modify access permissions for other resources.

  • Read write: Enables the resource to create and modify content, but not change access permissions.

  • Read: Restricts the resource to read-only access to the domain.

For example, you may have a group of Business Analysts within your company who are responsible for creating business processes. You could assign this group full control for the Process area. This would mean that only the members of the Business Analyst group could create and modify processes. They would also be able to set the access permissions of all the other resources within the organization for the Process area of TotalAgility.

  1. Navigate to System > System settings.

In the Access control list group, only the areas the logged in user has full control of, are displayed.

  4. On the Name list, select a group or individual whom to give access permissions.

You can filter on individual or group, or select the resource from a specific category.
