Manage queries

You can modify, delete, copy and share a query.

  1. Navigate to Queries > Job queries or Work queue queries or System queries.

    The list of queries available within your working category appears.

  2. To display the queries within a specific category, select the category on the Category list.

    Alternatively, to display a specific query, enter the name of the query in the Search field and click .

  3. To modify a query:
    1. Click the query to modify.
    2. Make changes as needed.
    3. Save the query.
  4. To copy a Job query:
    1. On the context menu of the query to copy, click Copy.
      A copy of the query prefixed with Copy 1 of to the <query name> appears on the Job queries page.
    2. Make changes, such as rename the query.
    3. Save the query.

      Note You can copy Work queue and System queries in a similar manner.

  5. To delete a query, on the context menu of the query to delete, click Delete.

    On confirmation, the selected query is deleted.

Share queries

You can share queries with specific users or group.

  1. Navigate to Queries > Job queries or Work queue queries or System queries.

    The list of queries available within your working category appears.

  2. To display the queries within a specific category, select the category on the Category list.

    Alternatively, to display a specific query, enter the name of the query in the Search field and click .

  3. Open the query to share.
  4. Click the Share tab.
  5. By default, the query is shared with the Everyone group. To share the query with other groups or resources, perform the following steps:
    1. Click Add for Resources.

      The Add resources dialog box is displayed.

    2. Click the Group (default) or Individual tab.

      The groups or individuals from your working category are displayed.

    3. To select the group or individual from a specific category, click Default Category and select the category.

      All the groups or individuals that belong to the selected category are displayed.

    4. Select a group or individual.

      The group or individual is added to the Selected items box. Click Add all to add all groups or resources to the Selected items box.

      Note To remove a resource or group from the shared list, click for the resource or group in the Selected items box.

      To remove all the selected items, click Remove all.

    5. Click Done.
  6. Click Save.
