Document sources

You can use Kofax ReadSoft Entrance for paper documents that you scan in using the Scan module, and also for documents from many other sources. For some sources you need an additional product.

You make your choice in the Source settings of the Job description dialog.

Source Description
Internal You scan paper documents using a scanner and the Kofax ReadSoft Entrance scan module. Documents are interpreted from Kofax ReadSoft Entrance' internal database.

Select Internal in the Source settings.

Image files You have image files of the documents. For example, you receive documents via a fax server.

Select Import document image files in the Source settings. See Interpreting image files.

Email Senders send documents to you (image or XML based) via email . The documents are in image files that the sender creates by scanning the documents or in another way or in XML format. The sender sends the image/XML files as email attachments. Required product: Collector.

Select Data source extension in the Source settings. See Selecting a data source extension as the interpret source.
