Optimize a document definition
-
Start an
Optimize
session.
The document definition image, Learning dialog, and Field learning dialog are displayed. The first Data object in the Learning dialog with the Not Learned status is automatically selected.
-
Optimize the data objects:
- Image identifiers
- Value identifiers
- The Debit/Credit field
- Other single item fields
- Line item tables (see separate instructions for complex line item tables, tax tables and bank account tables)
- Adjust the supplier, sender number, and description.
- Adjust the document definition settings.
-
Click
Approve. The
document definition is now
Learned.
During optimization, you can also:
- Draw fields on the document image (see separate instructions for receiver fields)
- Turn off line item validation
- Check document identification, if documents are not being identified as they should be.
- Adjust the display.
- Rotate the document image.
- Delete a document definition.
- Set a document definition to automatically approve documents with Complete status.
Tips
- While you are optimizing a document definition, its documents are locked so that they cannot be processed in Verify or the other production modules.
- After optimizing document definitions in a test system, you can export them from the test system and then import them into a production system.
