Restrict users from accessing document profiles

If user authorization is enabled, you can restrict users from accessing document profiles with which they do not work.

To specify which document profiles individual users should not see when they open the Manager or any production module, complete the following steps:

  1. In Manager, click Administration > List users.
  2. Right-click anywhere in the list displayed and select New to define a new user, or click an existing user and select Open to edit it.
  3. In the User dialog, click Document profiles, and then select the document profiles from the list that the user should not see while working in any module.
  4. Click OK.

    Notes:

    • Users assigned to user authorization roles in the Inbox configuration in Verify will not see document profiles they are restricted from using, as described above, even if the authorization roles they belong to include them.
    • When older user profiles are imported to the system, all document profiles are available to them by default. The process above must be used to restrict these users to only those document profiles with which they work.
