Merging Documents

Use the procedures below to combine or consolidate existing documents.

Merging with the Previous Document

  1. In the viewer, locate two consecutive documents to combine.
  2. Select the second document.
  3. On the Home tab, in the Document group, click Merge with Previous.

    The selected document is merged with the previous document to form a single document.

Merging with the Next Document

  1. In the viewer, locate two consecutive documents to combine.
  2. Select the first document.
  3. On the Home tab, in the Document group, click Merge with Next.

    The selected document is merged with the next document to form a single document.

Merging Multiple Documents

  1. In the viewer, hold down the Ctrl key while selecting each document to merge into a single document.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Document group, click Merge Selected.

    The selected documents are merged into a single document.
