- Document file name
-
Sets the format for each document file name. The format can be a combination of variables and static text. To view a list of available formats based on existing index fields, click Setup.
For example, selecting {Document Number With Zeros[8]} creates a folder for each document using a document number length of 8 places. The document number is preceded by 7 leading zeroes to produce a length of 8 places, as shown here:
\00000003\
You can also place each document in a subfolder by adding a subfolder to the format. For example, {Batch Name}"\"{Document Number With Zeros[8]} creates a subfolder for each document. Each subfolder includes the actual batch name.
The backslash (\) character indicates that the entry to its left is a folder. Without the backslash, the entire entry would generate a file name, such as the following:
\Batch001\00000001.PDF
