Rescan Tab

Use the Rescan tab to rescan or insert selected pages within a document or multiple documents. Arrange the pages to rescan in the same order they were scanned originally. When you rescan pages, the newly scanned images replace the original images in the selected document (or documents). The scanner is stopped after the selected pages are rescanned or inserted.

When you rescan a page using a flatbed scanner, note the following:

  • You can rescan only one document at a time. If you select multiple images, only the first page is replaced if flatbed scanning is in effect.
  • To rescan multiple images, click Rescan each time you want to rescan the next selected image.
  • If you are rescanning a page that was originally scanned in duplex mode, Kofax Express automatically replaces the selected side (front or back) and retains the association between the two sides.

When you rescan a page in duplex mode with an ADF scanner, note the following:

  • If the selected image was originally scanned in duplex mode, both the front and back are automatically selected and rescanned, and the association between the two sides is retained. If you want to replace only one side of a page that was scanned originally in duplex mode, select the affected side and then switch to simplex mode for the rescan operation.
  • If the selected image was originally scanned in simplex mode, the selected image is replaced by two images that represent the front and back of the rescanned page.
