Filtering Lines and Text in Black and White Images

Use this procedure to apply line and text filters to black and white images.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • On the Scan Settings tab, in the Settings group, click VRS General.

    • On the VRS Corrections tab, in the Corrections group, click VRS General.

  2. In the B & W Filters group, use the slider to set the level of filtering to apply to lines and text:

    • Move the slider to the left to thin out lines and text that are ballooned or blended together.

    • Move the slider to the right to thicken lines and text that are too thin or too light.
