Advanced Properties - Others - Canon DR-X10C Scanners

Use the settings on the Others panel to specify preferences related to scanner speed, page count, and miscellaneous options.

Scanner Speed

Select one of the following to indicate the preferred scanner processing speed:

  • High Speed: Processing occurs at the rate of speed supported by the scanner.
  • High Quality: Processing is slower than the High Speed setting to ensure optimal image quality. This setting may be appropriate for processing delicate documents.

Verify Count

Select the Enable check box to indicate that the page count for a batch should be verified. You have two options for verifying the page count:

  • If you select the Use Page Count check box, use the combo box to select the expected page count. If the actual page count for the batch does not match the page count specified here, an error is produced.
  • If you do not select the Use Page Count check box, select the "Count Only" control on the scanner front panel. Then feed the batch through the scanner for counting purposes only. Next, select the "Count Only" control again and scan the batch. If the actual page count for the batch does not match the page count total identified while "Count Only" was selected, an error is produced.

Options

Select the following check boxes to indicate preferences for processing options to be handled by the scanner (rather than the software):

  • Moire Removal: Apply special processing to remove wavy patterns that occur in some images.
  • Staple Detection: Activate a scanner sensor to detect pages containing staples. When a staple is detected, the scanner stops and a message is displayed.
  • Reduce Bleed-Through: Apply special processing to minimize the amount of data that shows from the reverse side of an image.
  • Error Recovery: Use the scanner front panel to display messages related to multifeed conditions. Otherwise, multifeed messages are displayed on the computer screen.
