Demo Jobs
Your Kofax Express installation includes two predefined demo jobs that are available when you create or open a job. You can use the demo jobs to familiarize yourself with different ways that Kofax Express features can be configured or implemented.
- Scan to Desktop: Based on the Manual Indexing from Image job template, which includes predefined index fields and contains an empty "Batch001" batch.
- Patient Records: Based on a Patient Records job definition, which contains a "Batch001" batch with a complete set of scanned images and corresponding raw images. The images in the batch relate to fictitious records for four hospital patients.
The Scan to SharePoint demo job available in earlier versions of Kofax Express is deprecated in Kofax Express 3.3.0, and is only available if you upgrade to Kofax Express 3.3.0 from version 3.2.x.
To export directly to Microsoft SharePoint, use the Kofax Export Connector 8.5.0 for Microsoft SharePoint, which can be downloaded from the Kofax Fulfillment Site.
The demo jobs are included on the Recent Jobs list, and on the list of existing jobs on the New Job or Open Job windows.
When you open a demo job, the job and scan settings are preconfigured and the scanner selection is already made. If the scanner selection differs from the scanner connected to your computer, the Select Scanner window is displayed automatically when you attempt to scan. See Selecting a Scanner.
You can add your own batches to the demo jobs.
