Pasting Images into Kofax Express

You can paste one or more images into Kofax Express after cutting or copying them onto the Clipboard in Windows Explorer. The supported image formats for this process are BMP, JPG, PDF, and TIFF.

Once the images are pasted into a Kofax Express document, inspect them in the viewer and if necessary, apply image quality adjustments.

Pasted images retain the same quality and color mode as the original images; no Kofax VRS or bar code processing is performed during the paste process.

  • If you paste color or grayscale images, they serve as raw images and you can use the VRS Corrections tab to apply image quality adjustments in Kofax Express.
  • If you paste black and white images, they are treated as if no raw images exist. Therefore, you can use only some settings (Rotation, Auto Rotate, B & W Filters) on the VRS Corrections tab to apply image quality adjustments.

If you cut the images to place them on the Clipboard, they are removed from Windows Explorer once you paste them into Kofax Express. In this situation, you cannot use Undo in Kofax Express to restore the images to the Windows Explorer file system.
