Zonal Recognition group

Template OCR mode

Template Mode

Creates a set of recognition zones that you can save permanently as a zone template, which becomes part of the job settings. See Setting Up a Recognition Zone Template.

Lasso OCR mode

Lasso Mode

Creates recognition zones that are used for the current session without being saved to a zone template. The zones apply only to the current document; if Memorize is selected, the zones are saved temporarily to apply to subsequent documents. See Drawing Recognition Zones.

OK

Memorize

Saves recognition zones created in Lasso Mode so they can be applied during the current session to subsequent documents with similar attributes. Not available with Template Mode.

Zonal Recognition Setup Setup

Opens the Zonal Recognition Setup window, where you set preferences affecting detection of OCR, MICR, and bar code values during index zone processing.

While Template Mode is active, this window is available only when a new, unsaved zone is drawn.
