Applying Halftone Picture Adjustments

Use the Halftone settings to improve the appearance of pictures on black and white images.

  1. Scan a test black and white image and open the viewer.
  2. Do one of the following:

    • On the Scan Settings tab, in the Settings group, click VRS General.

    • On the VRS Corrections tab, in the Corrections group, click VRS General.

  3. In the B & W Filters group, click Halftone.
  4. Click the arrow next to Halftone.
  5. Do one of the following:

    • Move the slider toward Light if lightening the picture achieves the desired image quality.

    • Move the slider toward Dark if darkening the picture achieves the desired image quality.

    • Click in the Density box and enter a value.

  6. Adjust other settings or start scanning.
