Registering a Hardware Key License

If your product is licensed with a hardware key, you must register to be eligible for technical support and product updates.

The Register setting on the Help tab is available only if you have a valid Kofax Express hardware key inserted in a USB port on your computer. If your product is not licensed with a hardware key, use the Activate setting to activate the product license.

You must have a working Internet connection to register Kofax Express If necessary, go to another computer with a working Internet connection and register your product here:

  1. Verify that your Kofax Express hardware key is inserted in a USB port on your computer, and make a note of the identification code attached to the key.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • On the Help tab, in the Support group, click Register.

    • Click Hardware Key in response to a message that appears while the evaluation period or demonstration mode is active.

  3. User Identification: Enter your name, company, and email address.
  4. Product Identification: In the Hardware Key field, type the code (typically 7 alphanumeric characters) attached to your hardware key.

    The other entries in the Product Identification section are pre-populated, based on information that is detected automatically. You cannot update the entries.

  5. Click Register Now.

    A message confirms successful registration.
