Multipage Export Setup Window - Images Group

Use the settings in the Images group to set the folder, format, and document file name for the multipage export process. Each file contains all the images that belong to a document.

Export folder

Sets the path to the folder where batches are exported. Click Browse to navigate to the folder. UNC paths are supported. You must specify the complete path.

File type

Sets one of the following formats for exporting the scanned images:

PDF - Portable Document Format

Supports standard PDF format. Click Setup to open the PDF Setup window, where you set preferences for producing highly compressed PDF files with optional OCR capabilities.

PDF/A - Portable Document Format Archive

Supports a PDF format intended for long-term archiving. Click Setup to open the PDF Setup window, where you set preferences for producing highly compressed PDF files with optional OCR capabilities.

TIFF - Tagged Image File Format - Kofax

Offers backward compatibility to support some Kofax legacy applications. Automatically switches to JPEG compression within the TIFF, if necessary for a color image.

TIFF - Tagged Image File Format - LZW Compression

Offers compatibility that is the same as Multipage TIFF - CCITT Group 4. Compatible with the Microsoft viewer.

TIFF - Tagged Image File Format - Technical Note 2

Offers compatibility with an industry-standard specification for storing image data. Automatically switches to JPEG compression within the TIFF, if necessary for a color image.

TIFF - Tagged Image File Format - Uncompressed

Offers compatibility for files such as photographs, for which compression is not acceptable.

Document file name

Sets the format for each document file name. The format can be a combination of variables and static text. To view a list of available formats based on existing index fields, click Setup.

For example, selecting {Document Number With Zeros[8]} creates a folder for each document using a document number length of 8 places. The document number is preceded by 7 leading zeroes to produce a length of 8 places, as shown here:

\00000003\

You can also place each document in a subfolder by adding a subfolder to the format. For example, {Batch Name}"\"{DocNumberWithZero[8]} creates a subfolder for each document. Each subfolder includes the actual batch name.

The backslash (\) character indicates that the entry to its left is a folder. Without the backslash, the entire entry would generate a file name, such as the following:

\Batch001\00000001.PDF
